EURO-LABS

All beam time access for research purposes at ALTO is evaluated by the Program Advisory Committee (PAC – Programme Advisory Comittee (PAC) / Beam time – Plateforme ALTO – Accélérateur Linéaire et Tandem à Orsay (https://alto.ijclab.in2p3.fr/en/user-information/programme-advisory-comittee-pac/ ) which meets typically once a year to evaluate proposals for experiments.

ALTO is part of the European Trans National Access Network, EUROLABS. If more than half the collaborators on an accepted proposal are from institutions outside France then the experiment can be eligible for Trans National Access financial support for users travel expenses. Priority is given to young researchers and first time users.

The EURO-LABS support offers to the selected user the same services as other users in matter of access to the infrastructure and to ALTO guest house: Access procedure – Plateforme ALTO – Accélérateur Linéaire etTandem à Orsay (https://alto.ijclab.in2p3.fr/en/user-information/access-procedure/ ). In addition, there is a financial support per user up to 300 euros for the travel expenses and a per diem (58,50 euros per hotel night, including breakfast, and 15,75 euros per meal).

To apply for EUROLABS support please contact wilson@ijclab.in2p3.fr. The members of the user selection panel (USP) are the ALTO scientific coordinator and the ALTO PAC chairman.
