In the framework of a national strategy, a project of reliability and sustainability & physics program of ALTO is ongoing.
The reliability of ALTO is planned according to 5 main axes : stable beams, radioactive beams, safety and nuclear safety files, target and ion sources R&D and finally electronics, acquisition and networks.
The sustainability of the ALTO facility consists in a clear definition of the future physics program. It also consists in ALTO’s interaction with its national, European and international environment as part of a national strategy, and in the opening of ALTO to more industrial applications.
