The CNRS’s Île-de-France Gif-sur-Yvette 04 (DR04) delegation, supported by the CNRS’s shared services unit in Île-de-France (IFSeM), has decided to invest in the platform’s infrastructure. Between March 2026 and October 2027, three construction projects were planned by DR04 and IFSeM: refurbishment of the floor in the accelerator control area and the area used by the internal and external users (pictures a and b); replacement of the old refrigerator units (picture c) by a new 450 kW refrigerator unit; and refurbishment work on the heating substation and the distribution network across the platform. Since 23rd of February, both accelerators have been shut down by the IJCLAB Risk Prevention Department. The floor refurbishment will be finalized over summer. The installation of the new refrigerator unit is scheduled to begin in October. New pipe lines will continue to be installed in preparation for the installation of the new refrigerator unit. A new pipe is currently being used by the refrigeration unit hired by IJCLAB (picture c and d).
